Continuing eduation
Once you get your license you can now legally work on paying customers and can decide what you would like to specialize in or add to your service offerings. Every 2 years in IL all LMT must take 24 hours of continuing education to keep their license eligible for renewal.

A few examples of specializations are: Aromatherapy, Prenatal, Hot Stone, Patients with Cancer, Trauma Survivors, Craniosacral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Medical and Sport, Shiatsu, Thai, Reflexology, Chair, and the list goes on and on. All of which can be taken as continuing education classes. Every 2 years LMT are required to take 24 hours of CE to keep our license active and in good standing in Illinois.
Should you need or want a special type of massage just ask when you make your appointment.
Are you a LMT trained in
this type of massage? If they are not, they might be able to refer you to a colleague that can provide you the service you are looking for.
